Greene Street Consignment is a six-location consignment-shop company. From its start in 1997 on South Street in Philadelphia, the company has distinguished itself from other stores by offering high-end fashion in sleek stores with an urban vibe and meticulous merchandising. As it grew, it outgrew its website, which was not flexible enough to accommodate the continuously changing seasons and selections in its stores. So M&P redesigned the site to reflect not only the slick personality of the brand, but also to include a content management system (CMS) that allows any number of employees to update the website, whenever necessary, from any location in the world. M&P chose the WordPress platform, a popular, open-source, easy-to-learn-and-use CMS. Anyone can build a site using WordPress; in fact, it's possible to throw one together at no cost.
